I'm Helpful

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. Did you miss me? I've been real busy being helpful by entertaining my foster brother Uba and just haven't had a minute to write.

My foster lady has been really busy putting stuff in boxes so we could move to a new house, so she asked me to play with Uba a lot. I have worked really hard keeping Uba entertained and the foster lady said I did a good job and was very helpful.
Sometimes I even helped Lulu with her job, which is making sure all the beds at the new house work properly. Lulu's job is a lot more relaxing than my job.
One day, nice people came and took all the boxes to the new house and we got in the car and followed. Now the foster lady has taken the stuff out of the boxes and she says I have to go back to my real job of getting ready for my forever people. My real job is pretty hard.
I don't understand this "down" thing that Uba is doing in this picture. I'm short enough already. Why would I want to get even further away from the treats? Can't I just play with Uba instead?

Yummy!

Today the foster lady told me we were going to skip pit bull class. At first I was sad to miss school, but then she gave me a bully stick. I held it very carefully with my front paws and chewed until it was all gone.
It was so good it bought tears to my eyes.
I wouldn't mind missing class again if there are bully sticks instead.

Winnie

Solving Problems

I am not allowed on the couch unless the foster lady is there and tells me its OK to get up. The couch is so cozy and comfy that I really want to take a nap there sometimes when she's not sitting on it. Today I solved the problem.
I watched my friends Angus and William the Cats, and I took a nap in their spot. They told me it was OK.
After she disturbed my nap with these pictures she said I had to get off. I don't really understand why. I think I was following the rules and I also think I should get credit for creativity.

What do you think?

I Might Melt

Its been raining here in San Francisco. My foster sister Lulu told me that because pit bulls are made out of sugar there is a possibility we could melt in the rain. Yikes! I do not want to go out in the rain any more! I spent quite a bit of time in the rain in Florida, so I must have just been real lucky. Because of the danger posed by the rain, Lulu and I have been playing inside a lot. Here is a video of us playing.

Lulu is a really good teacher and friend. I am one lucky little dog these days!

My First Pit-Ed Class

Today I woke up early because it was my first pit-ed class. I was real excited, but things started to go all wrong right away. I had to ride in the car! In a crate! I was not happy about this arrangement, so I put my toes through the sides of the crate and held on as tightly as I could. And I cried. A lot.

Eventually, after a LOT of bumping, going around corners, noise and unhappiness, we got to class. A whole lot of my friends were there and I was so happy to see them that I forgot all about the horrible car ride. Then class started. Class means I have to sit and look at the foster lady and walk nicely next to her. I had to concentrate real hard and sometimes I got confused which made me a little worried. Everyone said I did a really good job, so I must have done the right things and they must not have noticed when I was all mixed up.

Here's a picture of me practicing sit and look at home. It was harder to do with lots of other dogs and people around.
After class foster lady said "Winnie, if I buy you a seat belt and let you sit in the front, will you be quiet and calm?" I wagged my tail, so she knew that I promised to do my very best. She went into a real interesting looking place and came out with a harness to keep me safe in the front seat. I felt so much better in the harness in the front. Now I could see what was outside and keep an eye on the foster lady to make sure she was driving properly. I kept my promise and didn't cry any more.
When we got home I was super tired, so I went into my crate and took a long nap. She bothered me with the flashy camera, but I fell right back asleep, so it was OK.
(I'm not the one who adjusted the crate and made it all wavy, it was like that when I moved in, I promise).

Next week I'll go to pit-ed class again and I hope I won't get so mixed up. I wonder if I will be this sleepy after every class?

good night,
Winnie

Settlin' In

The foster lady smiled at me today and said that she is happy that I am relaxing.
When I first came here to live in the house in the city I was so amazed by everything that I just could never stop movin' and waggin' my tail. All the pictures the foster lady took of me were a lil' blurry because I was just so excited. The foster lady wanted me to post some new pictures so you can see me in focus. Its kinda embarrassin', but I'll do what she asks, because she gives me treats and rubs my belly.
I hope y'all think I'm pretty like the foster lady says I am.

love,
Winnie
